Brivo Introduces Expanded Control Panel for Enterprise-level Installations

Bethesda, MD, July 25, 2007 – Brivo Systems, LLC, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced that it now offers an expanded control panel designed to support an increased number of doors for larger end user installations.

The ACS5008™ expands Brivo’s ACS5000™ line of control panels, which accommodate up to 30 doors on each main panel connection. The new ACS5008 provides added flexibility for the 4-8 reader applications.

Also newly available is the ACS5008-EXP, an expansion chassis that can accommodate up to 4 additional boards for a total of 8 additional readers supported per panel enclosure. Brivo’s ACS WebService™ access control system can accommodate an unlimited number of panels, all of which can be administered from a single account—using any standard Web browser with Internet access. Because of this level of flexibility, the ACS5008’s larger chassis is a welcome addition in that it provides a greater number of doors with fewer panel enclosures.

This translates to less installation labor and cost, a smaller footprint, and a reduction in power required—all important improvements for both the Brivo dealer and end user. Bob Mosler, Brivo’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said, “The ACS5008 is meeting a demand from end-users and dealers alike with its ability to house a greater number of door controllers in a smaller, more efficient space. Two important benefits that Brivo brings to our dealers are the ease and relative speed with which our system can be installed, and the ACS5008 further enhances these popular benefits.” For more information on the Brivo Online Access Control System and the ACS5000 family of control panels, contact Brivo toll–free at 1-866-692-7486, option 1, or email sales@brivo.com.
