Vivotek Gets Prestigious Award - Company Shows Outstanding Performance
 Vivotek is the recipient of the 16th Taiwan National Outstanding Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Award, the highest honorary recognition for SMEs in Taiwan and the 15th Taiwan Industrial Technology Advancement Award--Excellent Enterprise Innovation Award.
The National Outstanding SMEs Award is bestowed on small and medium size companies that are stable and have an extremely promising future. After a rigorous evaluation process, only 11 winners selected from 124 SMBs in Taiwan were granted the award this year. Those outstanding companies are commended for their remarkable management, excellent financial achievements, and continual contributions to the economic development of Taiwan. This award not only praises the winners' great performance but also sets a milestone for other SMEs to pursue.
"Greatly appreciated that the Small & Medium Enterprise Administration and National Association of Small & Medium Enterprises held such an award that accords Vivotek 's hard-working employees with great esteem and honor," says Owen Chen, the chairman of Vivotek, "This honor will reinforce Vivotek persistence in strengthening our core competitiveness, modification of managerial structure and research & innovative strategy in the future."
The annual Industrial Technology Advancement Award honors those excellent enterprises and individuals who have made valuable contributions in this field. This award consists of four categories: Distinguished Innovation Accomplishment Award, Personal Accomplishment Award, Outstanding Enterprise Innovation Award and Excellent Enterprise Innovation Award. After a series rigid selection procedure, 20 enterprises and 8 individuals were honored with this award.
Vivotek, as a new participant, showed outstanding performance among those strong competitors, according to Chen. The criteria of the technology awards focus on the integral R&D performance of the entire enterprise. The Reviewing Board consists of experts selected from industry, government, and academic and research institutes. A presidential audience and public commendation are also arranged for enterprises receiving awards.
"In-depth Cultivation of Innovation and Great Leap in Value" is the main theme of the 15th "Industrial Technology Advancement Award," which aims to encourage more investments and more top-of-the-line technologies. "I'm very pleased with obtaining this highest value of technology industry, that confirms our high capabilities," adds Chen.
