Companies Develop an Intelligent IP Video Solution
A new collaboration between Pelco and On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. (OnSSI) has resulted in the development of a software management platform that allows Pelco Camclosure IP and IP3701 cameras to work with OnSSI recording software. It allows users to seamlessly integrate current or new OnSSI recording or viewing software to Pelco Camclosure IP and IP3701 cameras.
"We are actively supporting our open architecture message around our IP cameras by continuing to support third-party software integration," says Sara Scroggins, Pelco Product Marketing Manager. "We are committed to working with OnSSI and other software management developers with our IP Camera Application Program Interface."
"Our collaboration with Pelco fits with OnSSI's open architecture approach to IP-based video surveillance," comments Mulli Diamant, Vice President of Sales, OnSSI. "By working with top hardware manufacturers such as Pelco, we are able to offer the most flexible surveillance solutions for our customers including scalability, functionality and lower cost of ownership."
In other news, the challenge is on when OnSSI, Platinum Sponsor of the Security Operations Center at the ISC East Show, September 10-12 at Jacob Javits Center in New York City, NY, is joined by its strategic partners Agent Vi, Pivot3, and S2. Together they participate in a fully converged Security Operations Center addressing the most challenging aspects of security industry design and integration.
Located on the show floor between ISC East and Infosecurity NY, the SOC integrates today 's leading technology providers and assembles the top industry professionals to educate show attendees on the common misconceptions of network bandwidth, network security, and software integration. Leading companies are on hand to answer the most frequently asked questions regarding IP camera deployments.
New camera combines unique features, size and resolution
The FullSight IP camera from Sentry360 Security can replace up to eight fixed limited-view cameras, reducing the number of cameras that need to be purchased, installed, and maintained, as well as the number of camera channels required.
Thomas Carnevale, CEO of Sentry 360 Security, explains, “We have developed this product to cause a complete paradigm shift in the IP video world. With FullSight IP, we have completely changed the way video surveillance systems are designed. The compact size and ability to power over Ethernet make for simple and cost-effective installations."
The camera strikes a balance between technology and price, offering a high resolution camera with enhanced features that remains an affordable option. Investigations are also enhanced, according to Carnevale, with no blind spots and no moving parts.
"Investigators can pan-tilt-zoom with 2592 x 1944 active pixels- approximately 20 times higher than normal surveillance cameras,” he says.
FullSight IP is a compact, five megapixel, immersive 360-degree camera with on-board video analytics. Through its wide-angle lens, FullSight IP camera monitors the whole scene continually, regardless of what the operator is doing.
